HISTORY
Lost Wheels
Motorcycle Club was started in 1974 by a small group of riders who worked
for Con Edison. This group organized rides and started the first
poker run. They would meet at each others homes and draw names to
see who would hold the next meeting. It is rumored that the name
"Lost Wheels" came about because the members always seemed to
make at least one wrong turn on a ride and wind up lost.
Lost Wheels MC is guided by a set of by-laws which
state that the "objectives
of the Lost Wheels Motorcycle Club are to promote interest in and
encourage participation in a wide range of motorcycle activities such as
safety, races, trips, lessons, and any other group participation
activities".
Honorary Member
Marshall Warfield
Marshall Warfield, long
time member of the LWMC, passed away unexpectedly at his home in
Chiefland
,
Florida
, on Sunday March 9th. It is with great sadness that his
friends and family face life without
Marshall
.
Marshall
was a very gregarious person who was always looking to help others, and
knew how to truly enjoy life. He had many close friends and all
that met him were easily drawn to his warm personally.
It was an honor to know him and a joy to watch him live life to
its fullest. His legacy will remain with all that knew him for a long
time, and he will be deeply missed.
