HISTORY: Lost Wheels Motorcycle Club was started in l974 by a small group of riders who worked for Con Edison. This group organized rides and started the first poker run.  They would meet at each others homes and draw names to see who would hold the next meeting. It is rumored that the Lost Wheels name came about because the members always seemed to make at least one wrong turn on a ride and wind up lost.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS: Lost Wheels supports various charities and organizations in and out of the Hudson Valley: Orien Rose LaPlante Fund, Castle Point VA Hospital, Vassar Hospital Pediatric Ward, Vassar Hospital Cancer Research Center, Chris Dayger Run for Leukemia, "Baby V Fund" for child with mesothelioma, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Hudson Valley Food Bank, the Wolf Conservation Center- S. Salem, NY; The Raptor Center- Milan, NY, John Flowers Hudson Valley Charities,  AMA Heritage Foundation, Natural Heritage Trust (to preserve NYS parks), Knights of Columbus, Beacon, NY,  the American Red Cross (the Katrina Fund ) and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  We support other motorcycle clubs, dealers and organizations with their charities by attending their events.

MEMBERSHIP: If you are interested in joining Lost Wheels MC get in touch with us at membership@lostwheels.com  or talk to any member.  After your guest meeting/ride you can apply for membership.   There are certain requirements that you must meet during a six month probationary time- attending meetings & rides, working the poker run, paying dues, signing by-laws acknowledgement and of course joining AMA (if you're not already a member).  To be a Full Member you must have a motorcycle license.  We do have Associate Membership for those without a MC license.

The original founders of Lost Wheels MC  felt that the probationary time was very important for both the club and the probationary member.  Most importantly, Probationary Membership is a time when the new member can ride with the club, attend meetings, work  the poker run and decide if Lost Wheels is the club they want to join.

If  Lost Wheels MC  fits what you are looking for and you decide to continue your membership there is a vote by the members.  If "voted in" you are given your "wheel" patch.  From the time you receive and wear your "wheel" you represent Lost Wheels MC wherever you go.  So,  remember the long history of LWMC and its standing in the community and wear your patch with respect and pride.

MEETINGS AND RIDES: You can join us on a ride or come as a guest to a monthly meeting. Meetings are held at the  Knights of Columbus Hall in Beacon, NY. ,Guests are always welcome and encouraged.  Check the website  home page  for the monthly meeting dates.  Info@lostwheels.com

Rides are usually announced at meetings or sent out through email.
